Module 11 — Ops: Source of Truth + Closeout Discipline (Lesson)
The rule
If it isn’t logged, it didn’t happen.
What we mean by “Source of Truth”
One place where the job status and key notes live:
- customer name + address
- service(s)
- schedule
- price
- Proof Pack link
- exceptions (pre-existing damage, limitations)
Closeout discipline (same day)
At minimum, every job gets:
- Proof Pack link
- completion message sent
- status updated
Chemical traceability (public-safe)
Even if you don’t publish “recipes,” you still need internal traceability.
Minimum standard for the Source of Truth:
- what category of chemistry was used (e.g., bleach-based wash, alkaline degreaser, acid spot treatment)
- any special risk notes (oxidation, delicate metals, open windows, sensitive landscaping)
- where SDS sheets are stored
Crew readiness standard
A clean closeout depends on a ready truck.
Printables:
FIGURE (electrical hazard control)
Why this matters
Sometimes the best closeout decision is a value decision.
Commercial / property manager note (operator perspective)
When you’re working for a property manager, your closeout isn’t optional — it’s the product.
They’re buying:
- reliability
- documentation
- fewer complaints
If you want repeat commercial work, treat your Proof Pack like a deliverable, not a bonus.
We don’t run on “the customer is always right.” But we do run on math:
Is a negative Google review really worth refusing a small fix that takes five minutes — even if it wasn’t in the original scope?
- prevents disputes
- powers reviews
- powers content
- protects premium pricing
