Module 9 — Sales: Speed-to-Lead + Intake (Lesson)

Most operators don’t fail because they can’t clean. They fail because they can’t keep the phone ringing — and when it rings, they don’t respond fast enough.

This module is your “front desk” training: speed-to-lead, intake discipline, and how to sound professional before you ever touch a surface.

The rule

Leads are melting ice cubes.

If you aren’t first, you’re last.

SLA targets (realistic)

  • Business hours: reply within 5–30 minutes
  • After-hours: reply first thing the next morning

Bare-bones intake (the 5-point filter)

You need only enough info to:

  • quote accurately
  • avoid bad surprises
  • route to the right service lane

Ask:

  1. Address
  2. Services requested
  3. Timeline (how soon)
  4. Access notes (gate, water)
  5. Anything sensitive (plants, pets)

Scripts

Use:

Output

  • Either book a walkthrough OR request photos OR send a quote.

Proof matters

Let customers feel your professionalism before the truck arrives:

  • “We’ll do a quick walkthrough + photos, then protect landscaping and begin.”

Do this next (assignment)

  • Run this lesson on a real job or a mock walkaround.
  • Capture a Proof Pack for the scenario.
  • Do the Final Walk.
